Unshielded board-to-board connectors with a 0.8 mm pitch

Phoenix Contact is presenting the new unshielded board-to-board connectors of the FP 0.8 SL series for data rates of up to 52 Gbps. The connectors enable increased flexibility in PCB design thanks to their compatibility with the PCB footprints of the shielded FP-0.8 versions. The designer can switch between shielded and unshielded versions without having to adapt the PCB layout.

The FP 0.8 SL series with a 0.8 mm pitch is available in the numbers of positions 12, 20, 32, 52 and 80. Various designs and stack heights from 6 to 21 mm with increased mating security enable a flexible device design. With a rated current capacity of 1.7 A per contact, a test voltage of 500 V AC and a service life of up to 500 mating cycles, they are suitable for a wide range of applications. The connectors are also available as an option with shielding.

Another highlight is the double-sided ScaleX contact system, which ensures reliable mechanical and electrical connections. ScaleX technology also ensures high tolerance compensation and protects the contacts, increasing the robustness of the connectors.
