The new models of the FL Switch 7000 managed switches from Phoenix Contact now allow the integration of high-availability Ethernet/IP control cells with DLR redundancy in higher-level gigabit structures.
The 4800E series 19" Managed Switches from Phoenix Contact have been successfully tested by the world-renowned KEMA institute according to the requirements of IEC 61850-3 (as amended in 2013, Edition 2).
The new advanced managed switches in the 7000 series from Phoenix Contact are particularly suitable for use in Ethernet/IP networks because the industrial Ethernet switches are the first to be equipped with the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP).
Phoenix Contact has added a compact version to its range of automation switches to accommodate use in Profinet systems: The new FL SWITCH SMN 8TX-PN with eight 10/100 Mbps copper ports can be configured and diagnosed using the Profinet Device function in the PC Worx and Step 7 engineering tools.
Phoenix Contact is now offering new rugged managed switches for deployment in 19” racks as used in control centres and data centres.
