Smith Cooper raise record amount for Breast Cancer Helpline charity
Smith Cooper, Accountants and Business advisors based across the Midlands, are thrilled to announce their annual charity golf day, supported by Barclays match funding of £1000, raised £3500 for the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline (NHBCH), making it their most successful golf day to date.
The event took place at Morley Hayes on Thursday 28th September, and was attended by range of clients, colleagues and friends. Despite poor weather the week before, golfers were treated to what can only be described as perfect golfing conditions out on the 18-hole championship manor course.
Founded in 1996 by Wendy Watson (at a time when little was known about Hereditary Breast Cancer), the NHBCH was established to ensure that those worried about their family history had access to full information on all the options currently available, referrals where appropriate, and full peer support for whatever option was chosen.

The winners of the Texas Scramble tournament were Available Car, with a very respectable score of 57.3. The day involved a charity auction, featuring an original 1966 England Football tracksuit signed by a number of the players, as well as a raffle featuring wonderful gifts donated by local companies and sponsors.
Smith Cooper conduct several charitable events throughout the year, having previously raised money for Treetops Hospice and Appeal for Alfie.
