Press release -

4C Strategies' proprietary Exonaut® supports global Viking 18-exercise

4C Strategies will support Exercise VIKING 18 with its expert consultants and proprietary software Exonaut®. The exercise will take place from 16th to 26th April centred in Sweden and during which some 50 countries, 35 organizations and 2,500 individuals will participate in the planning and execution of complex multinational and interagency operations.

VIKING 18 is the world's biggest international exercise, encompassing international military staffs and participants from the UN, EU, civil authorities, law enforcement agencies, humanitarian organizations and international advisers and observers. The main target is to educate and prepare the participants for the challenges characterizing crisis response, natural disasters, and peace support operations around the world. This is achieved by training cooperatively in a dynamic and challenging simulated scenario.

"Exonaut® will be used throughout the whole exercise; for planning, execution and evaluation of readiness and cooperation across all levels. It is the only specialized software available, offering this end to end, integrated interface" says Brigadier (Retired) David Paterson, Head of Group Military at 4C Strategies. "As a direct added value, VIKING 18 gives us comprehensive insights into the user requirements for developing and running such complex exercises which can be integrated into future releases of Exonaut® so offering the opportunity to better support exercise planners in designing and delivering cost effective, relevant, efficient and exploitable exercises".

During Exercise VIKING 18, 4C Strategies will be showcasing integration of Exonaut® with the VIKING federation and simulation. This will facilitate increased automation within the exercise control and significantly reduce manpower and associated costs.
