Bristol based legal firm MS Rubric reports record growth

Bristol based solicitor firm, MS Rubric, has announced record growth during 2018. Turnover as a whole increased on the previous year and as a result of significant experience in the corporate sector, the company was able to complete on commercial sales with a value in excess of £100 million in 2018. In 2019, the legal team will continue to represent the interests of any companies wishing to sell and also support all businesses with a range of HR, commercial, property and private client services.

Partner James Howell, Head of Commercial, says that his company’s personal approach ensures their clients’ interests are properly represented. He explains that the firm has now acted on behalf of businesses all over the UK, ensuring that the final agreements are completed promptly and allowing their clients to benefit fully from the transaction.

John Gilliver recently sold his business and says it was more challenging to bring about the outcome he wanted than he initially anticipated, “Selling the business you have worked long and hard to make a success, is a difficult decision. I did not realise how much I would come to rely on my legal team and I really appreciated the support and personal service I received from MS Rubric - they were a pleasure to do business with.”

James comments, “There is often a lot of pressure on sellers who really want to ensure that their staff and clients’ interests are protected. We spend time with owners to understand their specific needs and objectives from the sale, then help guide them through the process. Ticking all the legal boxes and ensuring that the sale proceeds through to completion is often very involved, with tight deadlines. We’re really proud our clients have been so pleased with our service that they have shared their positive experience with others and our business has grown through the strongest recommendation of all – word of mouth.”

The team at MS Rubric also recognises that small to medium businesses face ongoing challenges and offers an Employment Law and HR support package which provides access to solicitors and Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) professionals. The service deals not just with the legal framework but also protocols for proactively improving performance, communication and retention.

The service is headed up by Melanie Davies who has joined the company as Head of Employment. Claire May joins as the new Head of Property, acting on behalf of clients on residential and commercial property transactions.

MS Rubric offers an initial free, confidential and no-obligation consultation for anyone considering selling their business and will travel anywhere in the UK without charge. For further information telephone 01454 800 008, email info@msrubric.co.uk or visit www.msrubric.co.uk.
