HORIZONS OF LUXEMBOURG - First Exhibition of Lithuanian Photographers at Annexe22

A premiere at Annexe22: from 3 to 10 April, the Lithuanian community in Luxembourg will present humanist photographs at Annexe22. Through this exhibition the Lithuanian community pays tribute to Kaunas, which will be a European Capital of Culture 2022 alongside Esch-Alzette and the Serbian city of Novi Sad. A total of two exhibitions will be held in Luxembourg, one dedicated to Esch-Alzette and the second to Kaunas.

As part of the humanist photography competition "Horizons of Luxembourg", a large selection of photographs, by both professional and amateur photographers, from Luxembourg and the Greater Region, were collected. The Lithuanian photographers Artūras Morozovas and Tadas Kazakevičius, both followers of the renowned photographer Antanas Sutkus, held their first online workshop for this competition in February. In the meantime, the best photos have been selected by an international jury and will be exhibited at Annexe22 starting on 3 April 2021.

On 5 May, the two photographers will organise another online workshop, again, inviting professionals and amateurs to participate free of charge. The workshop will be held in English and translated into French. Anyone interested can register via the below Facebook page until 15 April:

The most interesting photographs will once again be selected and printed as postcards, which will be available for free at the second exhibition from 19 to 26 June. "We want to encourage visitors to send these postcards from Luxembourg to those in need of support, which is particularly important during this pandemic" the Lithuanian community explain.

Another exhibition under the humanist theme will take place at a later date. This time it will be related to Lithuania and presented by Lithuanian photographers Tadas Kazakevičius and Artūras Morozovas.
