Our featured job of the week is for our client, an Acute Trust located in London, who are now starting the process to appoint the key post of Assistant Director of Programme Management.

The trust, which has a turnover of around £250 million and employs over 3,300 staff, delivers high quality healthcare to the residents of the London Borough of Hillingdon, and increasingly to those living in the surrounding areas of Ealing, Harrow, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, giving them a total catchment population of over 350,000 people.

The appointed candidate will be joining the trust at an exciting time. They have been identified as one of the major acute hospital sites as part of the North West London reconfiguration (Shaping a Healthier Future) and they are also part of the North West London Whole Systems Integration Programme, which is driving the integration of care across the sector.

The Trust are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to lead the Trust’s Improvement Programme. The post holder will be responsible for leading the clinical divisions in the development and tracking of a comprehensive quality and improvement programme. This role provides a great opportunity to shape the Trust's services, to drive change and support the development of closer working relationships with other health and social care partners.

The post holder will lead the Programme Management Office Team to provide critical challenge, support planning and co-ordinating of Trust wide improvement programmes. The team will work with the divisions to develop efficiency programmes designed to reduce costs by improving the quality of services we provide.

You will need excellent planning and influencing skills and the ability to make difficult decisions. You should be able to present complex data to the Executive Team and to sub committees of the board. In addition, you will need experience of working with Divisional Teams and Clinicians; empowering them to become change leaders. Previous NHS Senior Management experience would be desirable.
