FORTRUS LTD ANNOUNCED AS A NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AWARDS FINALIST

Fortrus Ltd have been shortlisted for the Healthcare Technology of the year award.

Having delivered the largest transformations of paper to electronic records within the NHS, Fortrus know that a successful outcome is not just about good software. Scanning, indexing and change management strategies to name a few, are also key to ensuring a successful programme and maximising the adoption and benefits of Digital Patient Records.

At Fortrus we create software interfaces that end users find intuitive and engaging. Through our unique approach of applying User Experience design skills and techniques and through working collaboratively with the end users, we enable a greater view of more complex information, more readily than through any other means.

Our solutions enable users to collect, federate, aggregate and analyse structured and unstructured data, whether electronic or paper based, laying the foundations for innovation through a unique approach and methodology and not just the implementation of a product/s.

The wide range of ‘Unity’ modules provided by Fortrus enables innovation, whilst protecting current IT investment, the Unity Connected Record provides the building blocks whereby an eco-system for better connected care can be turned into a reality, not just a concept.

Leigh Baillie, Chief Marketing Officer  said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the National Technology Awards and that our innovative approach to delivering digitisation programmes to the NHS has been acknowledged.  Healthcare has to move from being acute and reactive to being proactive and preventive. Care quality and patient experience needs to be improved through harnessing the benefits of digital technology and innovation, to this end we work in close partnership with our customers to achieve this. By delivering an integrated health record across regional areas and multiple NHS and private healthcare providers, efficiency and patient care can be improved through the adoption of our solutions".

The National Technology Awards, hosted by FStech Magazine, are the showcase for the leaders of technology. The National Technology Awards were created to allow the technology sector to shine, celebrating the pioneers of new technology and to help drive standards and encourage excellence.

The winners will be determined by an independent judging panel and announced at the National Technology Awards Gala and Dinner on 17 May 2017 at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.

Unity emerged from research conducted with over 800 senior clinicians across multiple organisations. The findings of this research identified three key challenges when working in an data-intensive environment.

  1. Fragmented computer systems and databases
  2. Delays in gaining access to critical information.
  3. Increasing pressures to find efficiencies.

Unity solves these problems by acting as a control layer, that whilst able to draw from multiple complex databases, means that we can develop flexible and bespoke user interfaces for minimal cost. The result is a software solution that suites the specific data-intensive needs of your organisation.
