Isansys Wireless Patient Monitoring Technology Wins Business Award For Making a “Real Difference to People’s Lives”

Isansys Lifecare, a new generation digital healthcare company, has been named as the winner of the prestigious Best Use of Technology award at the first ever industry and regional-wide Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Isansys triumphed over other very strong contenders at the award ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel, Reading, to be named the winner by an independent panel of judges. The award, which was sponsored and presented by chartered accountants and business advisors MHA MacIntyre Hudson, was given in recognition of the Isansys’ Patient Status Engine, a patient data capture and analysis platform which is transforming the way patients are cared for in and out of hospital.

Rebecca Weir, cofounder and Director of Business Development for Isansys, said: “We are honoured to have received this award. Our world-leading technology is enabling more patients to be monitored in real-time in hospital and remotely at home, free from the tyranny of cables and wires. To have received this award shows what a significant difference this is making to not only healthcare professionals but to the lives of their patients and their families as well.”

The Patient Status Engine integrates clinical wearable sensors and predictive analytics into a new kind of product that is unique in being at once a certified medical device and a complete end-to-end wireless platform. Automatically collecting and analysing patients’ vital sign data in real time, the technology is impacting healthcare globally by enabling doctors and nurses to see, at a glance, if a person’s health is deteriorating. This means healthcare teams can effectively see into the future, hours or even days before an event occurs, allowing them to take early preventative action and nudge the patient back onto the road to recovery.

Jason Mitchell, partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson, said when presenting the award: “We were inundated with entries for the Best Use of Technology Award, but this award went to a company which has developed and created technology which is making a real difference to real people’s lives.”

Isansys has now been automatically entered into the national and highly regarded British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) awards in November.
