Two arrested following pursuit in Speke
We have arrested two men and recovered a suspected stolen vehicle following a pursuit in Liverpool on Monday, 10 December.
At around 7.40pm, a suspected stolen Mazda 3 car was sighted in the Speke area, which failed to stop for patrols on Speke Boulevard. Following a pursuit, the car was stopped by traffic officers on Bank Road, the passenger was detained and the driver was pursued on foot by two officers before also being detained.
A 19-year-old man of no fixed abode and a 22-year-old man from Speke were arrested at the scene. The 19-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling and theft, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving without a license, driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The 22-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling and theft, aggravated vehicle taking and being carried on a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled drug, class B. Both men were taken to police stations for questioning.
