Press release -

Moray’s nursery hours published ahead of registration

Moray Council has published details of the hours on offer at all funded providers from August 2019 ahead of registration week commencing 14th January 2019.

More providers are offering the increased 1,140 hours a year of Scottish Government funded early learning and childcare from August 2019 with some trialling year round provision as well as longer days for those eligible for the increase.

Around 1,000 children in Moray will become eligible for the increased hours from August 2019, parents can check their eligibility online by entering their postcode, with Moray on track to offer all three and four year olds and eligible two year olds their full entitlement by the 2020 deadline set by the Scottish Government.

Parents registering their children for nursery during registration week, which begins on 14th January, can check the session times being offered in all funded providers in Moray online. Registration forms can also be downloaded and taken to the preferred nursery during that week.

Parents registering for Lady Cathcart, Millbank, Lhanbryde and Seafield nurseries can do so online for the first time in 2019.

With more options than ever before for parents seeking early learning and childcare the new information booklet, Your Choices, may come in handy.
