Smith Cooper’s Business Recovery and Insolvency team scoop prestigious industry award
The Business Recovery and Insolvency (BRIS) team of leading accountancy and advisory firm, Smith Cooper, were last night named Insolvency Team of the Year (Regional) at the highly regarded TRI awards.
The Turnaround, Restructuring & Insolvency (TRI) Awards, now in their 11th year, champion diversity and the outstanding achievements of firms and individuals operating within the challenging Insolvency industry.
The BRIS team at Smith Cooper comprises 14 individuals, including 4 licensed IP’s, 3 managers and 7 trainees, each at varying levels of qualification. The team has been going from strength to strength and has celebrated many recent successes.
In the past year alone, Beth Naqwi - Insolvency Administrator - passed two Level 4 exams, achieving over 90% in both and achieving the highest score of any 3AAA apprentice in her Budgeting exam. Connor Gratton finished 2nd in the UK in his CPI qualifications and was also shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year award at the same award ceremony, and Michael Roome was promoted to Partner, having recently attained his IP license.
