Q-Park lease begins with the Mailbox, Birmingham.

Q-Park, a UK leading parking operator, is pleased to announce a long term lease agreement for 35 years with the Mailbox, Birmingham’s premier shopping, office and lifestyle destination. 

The operation of the car park is with Q-Park as of today, 10th September 2018.

Mailbox opened in 1998 and was the redevelopment of the former Royal Mail sorting office in Birmingham City Centre. It is one of the UK’s largest mixed-use buildings offering a premium office location, a luxury retail experience and a key landmark for canal side dining and leisure, with a number of bars and restaurants, a cinema and two hotels on site.

Following a competitive tender process, award-winning Q-Park was appointed by Mailbox joint owners, Brockton Capital, to deliver all elements of the building’s 686 space car park due to being the most complementary parking operator for the centre.

This particular parking facility is in a strategically important location for Q-Park, previously only having one car park in the city centre of Birmingham, the second city. Managing the Mailbox will complement the existing parking facility at Brindleyplace. The high quality parking operator’s values are perfectly aligned with the standard of the Mailbox and its high end retailers.

Q-Park will modernise the car park to align it with other Q-Park car parks. Investment in the car park will give it the unique Q-Park style. Q-Park will also offer its renowned range of convenient services such as shoe shine machines, jump starter kits, and complimentary umbrella and buggy hire. Season tickets for regular parkers, online pre-booking and use of the Q-Park Rewards loyalty app will also shortly be available to Mailbox customers.
