Helping People Live The Stress-Less Life - Meditation, Exercise and Nutrition

The story of how Stress-Less Fitness started is based on the unique and personal journey of the founder, Michael Adu. Growing up in Urban North London as a young boy, you can often get enticed by the allure of the fast life. Michael Adu shares; “In my past I would chase external wealth and material things so people could see me as successful. This ended in me suffering from anxiety and low self-esteem.”

Life turned around for Michael, when at the age of 19 he found himself in trouble with the Law. This caused Michael to re-evaluate himself and his direction in life.

I couldn’t keep doing what I was doing. I remember looking around me and seeing the life that was being lived by others. This wasn’t appealing. It wasn’t who I was at my core.’

Realising that the problem couldn’t be fixed by external items, he looked within to find the solution. He found that building a strong sense of self (mentally and physically), helped him to be in control of his life, actions and habits.

The mind is the foundation for health in my opinion. Everything starts with a thought and manifests into reality. It is therefore important to look after the mind as well as the body’

Opening his business is 2014, he wanted to create a place where people could come and build on themselves in a holistic way. Generic fitness gyms do not seem to fill the demand for people who want to actively build their health. Personal Trainers are only trained in a narrow specific element of health. They do not accommodate for a real person in our current society.

Educating himself meticulously on elements of health and wellbeing, he is qualified in clinical weight loss, meditation, postural assessment, personal coaching and mentoring. He has done further research in CBT, NLP, Performance Coaching and Sleep Coaching. From this, he has created a programme surrounded around what he calls the 3 doctors: DR FOOD, DR MOVE & DR MOOD.

He has now build a team of coaches all qualified in his ‘Holistic Health Practitioner’ course. Equipped with this knowledge, they are ready to spread the message of creating your own ‘The Stress-Less Way of Life’ by adapting lifestyle habits to promote less stress physically, mentally and nutritionally.

Of recent, Michael’s father has been the victim of prostate and bowel cancer and is on the road to recovery. Health professionals have advised him to start to exercise more, eat better and to stress less. After telling me this and looking at my dad’s story, I want to offer this service to people who are going through similar things (health conditions of all kinds) and offer them a FREE service to help them get back to fighting fit.

With the sign up, you receive a copy of the Stress-Less E-Book ‘Living The Stress-Less Life’. You will also receive an induction from the Stress-Less PT Coach to find out current lifestyle habits and the key areas of focus.

The client will then start a bespoke session plan from the following techniques:

Physical Coaching- Physical health is about performing exercises functionally to lessen risks of injury and problems in everyday life. This includes relative strength, mobility and flexibility

Mental Coaching- Meditation with our neuro-feedback sensor which give the client feedback. This is a practice of concentration, focus and calmness. Each time the mind becomes distracted, there is a signal. It is then the individual's job to regain a calm mind for the signal to disappear. This is the mental body doing repetitions to strengthen itself.

Nutritional Coaching- We all are different so there is no one uniform diet that people should take. Approaching it is a scientific way, Stress-Less looks at how your body reacts to food and establishes the best diet for you
