Bert Nordberg appointed Chairman of TDC A/S

COPENHAGEN, 18 JUNE 2018: TDC is pleased to announce the appointment of Bert Nordberg as Chairman of TDC A/S, commencing August 1st 2018.

With more than 25 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industries, Bert Nordberg brings to the role extensive knowledge of the sector as well as a strong track record in strategic transformation and infrastructure. He has served as Chairman of Vestas since 2012 and sits on a number of boards as Non-Executive Director, including Electrolux AB, Saab Group, Skandinaviska Cellulosa AB and Essity AB. Prior to this, he had a long career at Ericsson, including a role as President & CEO of Sony Ericsson between 2009-2012.

Bert Nordberg said: “I have been closely observing the developments around TDC and I am convinced that the strategy outlined by the new shareholders is the right one for the company and for Denmark. I am excited to get started and look forward to working in partnership with Mike Parton and the rest of the Board to apply my experience to the implementation of this new direction for TDC.”

CEO of PFA, Allan Polack, on behalf of the shareholders said, “Bert is very experienced and his knowledge of the telecommunications industry, as well as the Danish business sector, make him an excellent choice to head the TDC Board. The 8,000 employees and TDC management are hard at work implementing our strategic vision for TDC and we look forward to Bert assisting with leading that process.”

As announced on 14 May 2018, Mike Parton will continue in his role as Vice Chairman, working closely with Bert Nordberg and overseeing the strategic transformation of TDC. Ulrik Dan Weuder will step down from his position on the Board when Bert Nordberg joins. The composition of the rest of the TDC Board remains otherwise unchanged.
