Family foraging for food afternoon

Join NatureEd for some seasonal scavenging at Hollingworth Lake, perfect for all the family.

On Sunday 18 May, NatureEd will be leading an afternoon rummaging through the woodlands and beautiful countryside.

Meeting at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre at 1.30pm, the walk will be aimed at finding nettles, bistort, wild garlic and elderflowers which will be then used to cook delicious recipes.

Participants will be able to have a taste of nettle soup, make garlic butter and cook some traditional garlic bread.

The activities will last for two hours and cost £2.50 per person. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

NatureEd is a social enterprise which provides environmental and countryside education for Rochdale Borough Council.
