Press release -

Nativity story time, in time for Christmas

Rochdale Central Library is hosting two children’s nativity story time events in the run up to Christmas at Number One Riverside.

On Saturday 14 December at 11am, Town Centre Chaplain Rev. Margaret Smith and newly published local author Akwa (Akwanwi Mfonyam Che) will be telling stories of the nativity to children wanting to fully immerse themselves in the Christmas festivities. The children also have an opportunity to have a book signed by Akwa on the day.

On Monday 23 December at 2.30, Rev. Margaret Smith will be accompanied by Ray Stearn who is a young person’s library worker, telling Christmas stories again.

Both of the free sessions will last an hour and there will be a festive craft activity for the children to get stuck in to!

For further details about this and other events at Rochdale Central Library call Ray Stearn on 01706 924972 or email ray.stearn@rochdale.gov.uk
