Number One Riverside scoops another accolade

Number One Riverside, Rochdale’s flagship customer service centre, office and library building, has picked up another award.

The impressive building beat off stiff competition from the likes of Manchester Metropolitan University to be named a North West winner at the British Council for Offices (BCO) awards.

The awards recognise top quality design and functionality and are a benchmark for excellence in workplaces.

Number One Riverside was honoured in the corporate buildings category and will now go on to compete for a national BCO award in October.

The award is another seal of approval for the council building which has now collected seven awards.

Rochdale Council Leader Colin Lambert, said: “Number One Riverside is providing excellent facilities for our customers and residents and flexible space for council staff and partners. This BCO Award recognises our continuing commitment to drive forward the regeneration of Rochdale town centre and the wider borough."
