Black and White: A play of contrasts by Rosenthal, Rosenthal meets Versace and Sambonet

Rosenthal: Cappello

With its lovely collection "Cappello" (Italian: hat) Rosenthal starts a charm offensive at the laid table. The two-piece cup initially disguises itself as bowler hat in Charlie-Chaplin style and then turns out to be a cup with a saucer, which not only looks good thanks to the combination of matt and shiny porcelain but which is also a pleasure to hold in your hand. In addition to the classic version made of black porcelain, "Cappello" is also available in puristic white. A black and white gift packaging brings the winking charm of the hat cup designed by Damian O'Sullivan to the point.

Rosenthal: TAC Black & White

One of the cult classics of Rosenthal is the “TAC 1” tea service by Walter Gropius (1883 - 1969). The dishes by the visionary architect and founder of the Bauhaus were premiered in 1969 and quickly became the Rosenthal model with the legendary success. Not only was it created by teamwork according to Bauhaus tradition but also its reduced formal idiom, with the plain hemisphere for the teapot and cup and the play with triangles and squares, suggests the Bauhaus style to this day. Moreover, the material, which is highest quality, light white and black porcelain, contributes to make this classic service give a timeless, poetic impression.

Rosenthal meets Versace: Virtus Gala Dining Collection

In 2022 Rosenthal meets Versace expands the successful Virtus Gala series as full service décor. Black, white and gold are fused together on a tableware collection that explores Versace’s Barocco aesthetic. Inspired by the brand’s iconic designs, the new porcelain references elegant evening dresses and the sophisticated Virtus handbags. The iconic Barocco V is at the center of the tableware line, surrounded by stylized acanthus leaves. The mix-and-match of various plates, cups, bowls, plates, jugs and gift items in Virtus Gala Black and Virtus Gala White provide a stylish contrast.

Rosenthal meets Versace: Medusa Grande

The iconic Break the Bank Medusa silhouette captures all the senses also as an elegant vase. The three-dimensional Medusa was first envisioned as a bank, perfect for saving any loose change and ideal as a gift. This season, the slit on the top of Medusa’s head is made larger, fitting perfectly an array of flowers. Crafted out of the finest porcelain, the legendary silhouette comes in two sizes.
The Medusa Grande is available in glazed white and black shades.

Sambonet: Rock

For Sambonet, being “rock” is more than an aesthetics matter. The Rock cutlery sets are extremely versatile and at the same time they add personality and determination to the table: they are original, well designed and with a sophisticated style. The square lines and thickness of the stainless steel are peculiar to this collection in the classic staneless steel look and PVD 2Black, as well as its functional and contemporary style. Trendy, casual and charming, this collection is perfect for today’s dining lifestyle that, from the simplicity of everyday use, can be transformed into a stylish accent for a variety of social gatherings.
