Punchy red: Our bright shining autumn favourites

Rosenthal - Francis Carreau Rouge/pattern design: Rosenthal Creative Centre

Historical references and modern elegance come together in the Carreau pattern on the Francis design to create a classically luxurious yet simple-looking table arrangement. The interplay of shaded and unshaded checked areas in sensual red with a delicate gold outline produces a kaleidoscopic colour effect. Subtle white surfaces bring a calming and airy feeling to the design and create an exciting contrast between light and dark, which is wonderfully complemented by the clear lines of the Francis design.

Thomas - Sunny Day

Trendy colours can cheer up the sometimes dreary everyday lives. The beloved yellow coffee mug in the morning, a pastel blue cup for the office, a colourful mix & match for the kids birthday party or a festive green and red in the holiday season – Colours are essential. That's why Thomas – with Sunny Day – puts a colourful programm on the table. The colours can easily be combined with each other and can create living spaces in the styles of the 60s or 80s or the retro-style.

Rosenthal Interieur - Bolbo chairs/design: Thomas Feichtner

The Bolbo chair really packs a punch. Its striking curvature and variable concept make it a real all-rounder in dining rooms both small and large. It is available not only with or without armrests, but also with just one armrest. This allows two chairs to be either positioned tête-à-tête or pushed together to create a little bench-style seat.

Rosenthal Interieur - Faceted carpet collection/design: Dorothea Lang and Matthias Zinkl

With their unique cutting techniques, colours and pile heights, which recreate the texture and appearance of porcelain, the Faceted carpet range add the finishing touches to Rosenthal’s exclusive interior collection of furniture, lamps and accessories in the truest sense. The range was the outcome of a partnership between young designers Dorothea Lang and Matthias Zinkl and Münchner Teppichmanufaktur.

The interplay of light and shadow turns mono-colour surfaces into multifaceted, complex structures. The Faceted collection picks up on this idea and uses contrasting monochrome, geometrical sections to create three-dimensional-looking carpets with one-of-a-kind effects.

The textile and industrial designer duo Dorothea Lang (born 1989) and Matthias Zinkl (born 1982) were already developing their own unique interpretations of modern design back when they were design students in Münchberg. Today, they both work and study at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle and at the Technical University of Munich. Their work is not only driven by aesthetic considerations, but also by philosophical and social issues. The jointly crafted carpet collection Faceted is a testament to their understanding of the spirit of the times, brand and user, bringing a clean design, high-quality materials and a fascinating three-dimensional look together to form a distinctive concept.
