Carol Vorderman supports forces families with Jubilee aviation print
Carol Vorderman showed her support for forces families this weekend when she was the first to buy a brand new aviation print.
The Diamond Jubilee flypast print, which costs £20, has been produced by Squadron Prints, and will donate half the sales price to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF), the RAF’s leading welfare charity.
Carol, who is also a leading supporter of the new RAF Bomber Command Memorial, purchased the print when she attended the Queen’s Windsor Muster Diamond Jubilee event on 19 May.
The artwork exactly replicates each of the aircraft which took part in the historic tri-service flypast at the Windsor Muster.
Gill Howie, owner of Squadron Pints said:
“We are truly delighted that Carol purchased our first print – we know she is a tremendous supporter of the Royal Air Force and the armed forces in general, and it makes us very proud to have her as our first customer!
"We’re also very pleased to donate half the cost to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, which does such vital work supporting RAF personnel past and present.”
Dean Benton, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund said:
“On behalf of the RAFBF I’d like to thank Carol and Gill for their magnificent support. We spend over £20 million a year supporting 60,000 members of the RAF family, and we simply could not do what we do without this kind of passion for our work.”
