Welcome to our Community Network Breakfasts! Come along and meet other projects and organisations in the North of Glasgow.

Our Community Networking Breakfasts consist of:

A 'Speakers Corner', where organisations share what they do. You can use this time to share the latest information including campaigns, activities as well as offers of and requests for support.
'Showcase' - a short snapshot of who you are and what you do!
A chance to ask questions and network - time to mingle, network and make those all-important contacts and partnerships.
A ‘marketplace’ - a chance to share and swap resources and contact details as well as leaflets, newsletters and more.

We'd love to welcome you along! If you are working or volunteering in North Glasgow area and would like to come along to the Community Networking Breakfasts, then you are welcome to attend. All sessions will be running 10am-12noon in Saracen House, Possilpark.

Chinese New Year 2025 Community Brunch Drop-In

Chinese New Year Festival celebrations continue in Possilpark

Come along to a Community Brunch drop-in event celebrating the Chinese New Year in Saracen House. Refreshments and music will be on hand.

There will be a colourful Chinese cultural display to greet those attending and artwork by children from Saracen and St Teresa’s Primary school will be on display.

More on the Year of the Snake

2025 marks the Year of the Snake, with the zodiac symbol for 2025 being the ‘wood snake’. The Snake represents wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, intuition and creativity. Snakes are also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility and longevity. In some legends, snakes are considered divine messengers and guardians of sacred places. Snakes are also revered for their ability to shed their skin and renew themselves, symbolising transformation and rebirth.

Each year holds different elements, which gives it a different essence and meaning. The Wood Snake is a charming, intelligent and creative sign, but also secretive, cunning and sometimes ruthless. The snake, the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac, represents intuition, strategy and elegance. When paired with the Wood element, 2025 emphasises adaptability, creativity and long-term planning.
