A special limited edition of the water-resistant, wearable WALKMAN® W252 celebrates the launch on PSP® and PSP®go of the hotly-anticipated title METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER (KONAMI).

Uniquely styled with a distinctive green camouflage finish, the all-in-one, wire-free MP3 player also comes pre-loaded with six music tracks from the game.

A coupon inside the packaging of each special edition WALKMAN® features a unique code that unlocks hidden characters in the game.

Set in the 1970s, the storyline of METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER provides an extra treat for fans of the legendary personal music player.  During game play you can collect iconic WALKMAN® models from the past, including the first-ever cassette-based WALKMAN® that made its debut in 1979.

Designed for today’s active lifestyles, the WALKMAN® W252 is the first wire-free MP3 player from Sony that resists rain splashes or the sweat of a gruelling gym session. After exercising, just rinse under the tap – or even keep listening during a post-workout shower.¹

2GB capacity provides storage space for up to 470 songs (approx) ². The light, sporty all-in-one design eliminates the tangle of wires, while 13.5mm EX Series headphones offer a secure, comfortable fit and clear, powerful WALKMAN® sound.  

A quick 3-minute charge gives enough power for 90 minutes listening time. A fully charged battery offers up to 11 hours² uninterrupted listening time. Supplied Content Transfer software allows simple drag-and-drop transfer of music files and playlists from PC or iTunes™ libraries (not including DRM files).

Published by KONAMI and scheduled for release on PSP® and PSP®go June 2010, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER is the latest instalment in the legendary METAL GEAR game series.

Developed by KONAMI’s Kojima Productions, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER is the first title in the series designed by original creator Hideo Kojima for a portable gaming platform.
