Stamma wins 3 Third Sector Excellence Awards

Stamma picked up three top honours at the Third Sector Excellence Awards this week.

The charity won the awards for Brand Development, Chair of the Year and Volunteer of the Year at the ceremony, which this year was held online.

The new branding, Stamma, designed by the agency Zag and launched in June 2019, was awarded best brand development. Judges said, "Stamma, the British Stammering Association, was our clear winner. This brand development was original, clever and a complete transformation."

Tim Fell was named Chair of the Year, with the judges recognising him as “An inspiring and hands-on Chair, using his professional expertise and lived experience to connect with members and drive forward a rebrand.”

In the Volunteer of the Year category, long-term member John Russell picked up the top prize. Judges said, “John's passion and dedication are evident here. Such dedication needs recognition and demonstrates the impact that one person can have on such an important cause.”

In accepting the prizes on behalf of the charity, Tim and John, Jane Powell, Stamma Chief executive said, "These awards are a lovely recognition and vindication of the whole organisation who have driven and sustained it for over 40 years. Cheers to John, to Tim, and to all of our members, volunteers, trustees, staff, past and present for an awesome organisation."
