Both face jail for offences frighteningly easy for any Western visitor to fall foul of. A British father of two is being held in Dubai since September 15th, facing up to a year in jail for charges (of passing a counterfeit banknote) he has already been cleared of. He was arrested, investigated and released to continue his holiday. But when he returned to the UAE the following year for another holiday, a mix up in the system saw him arrested and detained. He is still being held.
