Neil's experience of his stroke club meeting via Zoom

This all changed last March when Covid 19 struck leading to the group not being able to meet in person. Luckily Zoom meetings came to the rescue when it became obvious that Covid 19 was not going away.

I had not seen anyone from the group for a while and was delighted to receive an invite to join the group's Zoom meetings. It was great to see some familiar faces which lifted my spirits speaking to them again. The meetings are held every two weeks and gives a small bit of structure to the week and definitely reduces the feeling of isolation. It is important to keep these connections with the other people in the group and keep up to date with the latest chat. This situation will not last forever and hopefully the group can meet in person soon, the Zoom meetings have proved invaluable to keep in contact with friends until the day we meet again.
