    Local residents were treated to a flash mob in Bournemouth Square on Monday 15 February by the Stroke Association.
    A group of stroke survivors, carers and volunteers dressed in summer clothing surprised shoppers with an impromptu dance routine.

  • New group launches to help local stroke survivors return to work


    A new support group to help stroke survivors in London return to work has launched at Islington Central Library on Fieldway Crescent, and will meet every Wednesday at 11am.
    The weekly group, called ‘Job Club’, is run by the Stroke Association and will provide a place for people looking for work to create a CV, job search, and practice their interview skills.

  • Stroke Association statement on Rivaroxaban

    A recent paper published in the BMJ queried the assessment of the ROCKET AF study that the drug Rivaroxaban is effective in reducing Atrial Fibrillation (AF) related stroke. The group who undertook the ROCKET AF study reviewed their data and have now published their finding in the New England Journal of Medicine that Rivaroxaban does not show any increased bleeding risk compared to warfarin.
