An egg a day and stroke risk - the Stroke Association comments

A paper, which suggests that eating eggs has health benefits, has been published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.

Commenting on the study, Dr Shamim Quadir, Research Communications Manager at the Stroke Association, said: “This study suggests that eating up to one egg a day may reduce your stroke risk. However, it is very hard to establish a single item in a person’s diet that will have a positive or negative effect on their health.

“We all can reduce our risk of stroke by exercising regularly, consuming a healthy, balanced diet and getting our blood pressure checked.”
