A sea of over 200 purple fundraisers came together to help conquer stroke, at the Stroke Association’s Resolution Run in Warrington on Saturday 05 October.
A sea of over 200 purple fundraisers came together to help conquer stroke, at the Stroke Association’s Resolution Run in Warrington on Saturday 05 October.
An inspirational mosaic created by a group of stroke survivors has been displayed in Blackpool Victoria Hospital Stroke Unit, as a message of hope for patients during their recovery.
Craig McKenna, 38, from Morley is set to face the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 12 October in his final fundraising challenge for the Stroke Association.
Jacky Bowman, 57 from
Shanklin on the Isle of Wight was a Bank Manager until her husband, Andy, had
three strokes which made her decide to take early retirement to be with him.
Jacky abseiled down Portsmouth’s 350ft Spinnaker Tower on
Sunday 28 September to raise money for the Stroke Association, the
charity which supported them after Andy’s stroke.

survivor Bex Jennings, 23, took on the Hyde Park Resolution Run on Sunday 22
September to raise
vital funds for the Stroke Association.
Bex was
inspired to take on the Resolution Run after she had a devastating stroke aged
22. In October 2013, on the way out for dinner with her boyfriend, Bex
struggled to hold her boyfriend's hand. Not realising there was a
Washington mum Louise Plant, 38, is calling all adrenaline junkies to join her as she does the 230 metre Shocktober zipwire challenge to raise money for the Stroke Association on the 18 October.

Cheyenne McLaughlin, 14, from Isleworth, Middlesex, spent an afternoon in
Covent Garden’s Pineapple Dance Studios, on Wednesday 10 September.
