Company Profile: Villa Andina

Villa Andina was founded in 2007 with the goal of developing top quality organic natural health food products which make a real contribution to improvement in the human diet. The company is specialised in Andean Grains like Quinoa, Amaranth, Chia and Canihua. Furthermore they produce cacao and dehydrated products like among other fruits dried Goldenberries, Maca, Camu-Camu, Yacunand Aguaje.

They created a business model that involves working with the wide variety of bio-diverse raw material available in Peru, and that contributes to improvement in living conditions in rural communities. This enables them to cooperate with all stakeholders involved in the value chain.

Their complete portfolio of products are processed using different manufacturing procedures. For each of these, the raw materials are paid for with Fair Trade prices, in accordance with annual contracts. Villa Andina furthermore provides additional free technical assistance, monthly training programs, financial support, and also covers the costs of organic certification. The above makes it possible for us to obtain the level of quality that we seek in our products and to carry out a more competitive operation, while respecting the parameters and conditions of Fair Trade.

Villa Andina and their wide variety of Andean ingredients will be present at the Health Ingredients Europe fair in Frankfurt.
