Dry January comes to Deep Rock Galactic as dwarves look back on 2023

Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games, developer of the beer-soaked, intergalactic mining co-op game Deep Rock Galactic, have released a 2023 Year in Review infographic. Included are some of the game’s tipsiest tallies and plenty of other in-game stats.

Since its Early Access launch in 2018, Deep Rock Galactic has continued to foster dwarven drinking problems one of the most-welcoming communities in gaming - evidenced by its continuous growth with over one million monthly active users and over 8 million units sold. With an average playtime of over 40 hours per player, the DRG community continues to thrive 6 years on from its early access launch.

It’s not just inebriated numbers though, there are also plenty of sober statistics worth mentioning as well:

  • 150,300 daily active users, up 32% from 113,700 in 2022
  • 1,018,230 monthly active users, up 22.9% from from 827,890 in 2022
  • 97% positive reviews of 213,843 total reviews
  • 282,394,208 sessions played since the launch of Deep Rock Galactic in 2018
  • 6th most followed game on Steam of all time

You can find some of the booziest key 2023 statistics for Deep Rock Galactic below:

  • Over 74,410,702 rounds of beer ordered at the Abyss Bar, totalling in 155,136,100 beers total
  • 22% of dwarves passed out drunk
  • 171,604,498 credits in tips went to Lloyd the robo-bartender
