A blast from the past: SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION digital versions release today for consoles and PC; physical versions set to release August 28

First revealed at the Nintendo Direct showcase, retro Bomberman titles from the 1980s and 1990s return with new quality-of-life improvements, bonus features in a nostalgic package

WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM – February 5, 2026 – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) today announced digital versions of the SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION are now available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam®, Nintendo Switch™ 2, and Nintendo Switch™. Pre-orders for physical copies of the iconic party game also start today and will release August 28.

The collection includes all five titles from the Super Bomberman series released from 1993 to 1997 – including titles exclusively launched in Japan – plus the original Bomberman released in 1985 and Bomberman II released in 1991. Updated quality-of-life improvements including "Save/Load Anytime", allowing players to save at any time, and "Rewind Function" to give players a second chance at a difficult stage.

The SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION packs the following titles in one explosive collection:

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN (Japanese Version / US Version / European Version)

Defeat the robot army, the evil power-hungry tyrant Mr. Karat and scientist Dr.Mukk, Command and thwart their ambitions. SUPER BOMBERMAN marked the franchise’s debut on the Super NES, introducing the series’ signature maze-based gameplay and competitive Battle Mode that would become central to its identity.

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN 2 (Japanese Version / US Version / European Version)

Bomberman has been captured by the vicious Bomber Quintet. For the sake of Earth's peace and his own destiny, he must confront them. Widely regarded as a standout entry, SUPER BOMBERMAN 2 refined controls and stage balance, helping establish Bomberman as one of the most enduring local multiplayer experiences of the 16-bit era.

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN 3 (Japanese Version / European Version)

The evil Professor Bugler has revived the vicious Five Dastardly Bombers, once defeated by Bomberman, and has begun his march towards cosmic conquest. SUPER BOMBERMAN 3 expanded the series with character-specific abilities, adding new strategic depth to both single-player and multiplayer modes.

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN 4 [Japanese Version (English localized version available)]

Bomberman has been transported to different eras by the Four Bomber Kings. What is their purpose? And what is the mysterious entity lurking in the shadows? SUPER BOMBERMAN 4, originally released exclusively in Japan introduced rideable character ranging from fish, flying turtles and more.

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN 5 [Japanese Version (English localised version available)]

A mysterious man, calling himself the Emperor of another world “Terrorin,” has freed eight Vicious Bombers from prison and begun an invasion with them as his subordinates. SUPER BOMBERMAN 5 was the last entry in the SUPER BOMBERMAN series. The game featured a non-linear ending where players decide how their stories progress.

  • Bomberman [Japanese Version]

The commemorative work that laid the foundation for the series first released in 1985. Bomberman offered players a strategic maze game where players had to use bombs to defeat enemies and clear obstacles across 50 stages. The success of the inaugural title spawned sequels and multiple spin-off series.

  • Bomberman II [Japanese Version]

Released six years after Bomberman, Bomberman II introduced multiplayer gameplay to the series – an inclusion that continued in future games paving the way for large party-game modes.

The SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION features a slew of bonus items to complement the chaotic player-versus-player gameplay.

Playing the classics:


SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION includes BOMB Radio hosting iconic music tracks from the original games. Plus, a Gallery Mode holds an archive of approximately 200 unique character illustrations from the five Bomberman titles included in the collection.


Bombastic Battles:

Boss Rush mode allows players to jump right into ultimate boss battles from the various Bomberman titles. The mode includes a Time Attack feature with three difficulty levels.

First announced during the Nintendo Direct showcase, the SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION will also support GameShare for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 where players can share the collection with up to three other players who don't have the software and play together.
