Alan Wake 2 Descends Into Phasmophobia This May
A new presence emerges as the Dark Place seeps into Phasmophobia with a limited-time event, arriving May 12th.
Southampton, UK – April 16th, 2026 - Today, at Galaxies Showcase, Kinetic Games and Remedy Entertainment revealed a brand new limited-time event 'Phasmophobia by Alan Wake' that will see a shifting overlap between worlds, bringing the haunting atmosphere of Alan Wake 2 into Phasmophobia.
Marking Phasmophobia’s first ever collaboration, this crossover introduces a new presence that bleeds into familiar locations, shifts in the shadows, and twists investigations in ways ghost hunters have never encountered before when it arrives on May 12th. This announcement comes as Phasmophobia reaches a new major milestone: surpassing 5 million copies sold on consoles and 28 million copies sold overall.
“There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together in this dream – or rather, nightmare – collaboration,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment. “It was a joy to write this. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.”
“Working with Remedy has been an incredible experience, and the way these two worlds overlap has opened up some unsettling possibilities that we’re excited for players to explore,” said Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games. “It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game's iconic locations into Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for fans of both games to see what the event has in store on May 12th.”
The 'Phasmophobia by Alan Wake' event will be available for a limited time in Phasmophobia from May 12th across all platforms. More details to be revealed soon…
Phasmophobia is available in Early Access on PC via Steam, PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $19.99/£16.75/€19.50. Check out the Phasmophobia 2026 Roadmap for more info on what’s to come this year.
