Black Desert Revamps Character Progression, Introduces Level 75 Cap

Amsterdam, The Netherlands — Oct 8, 2026 — Pearl Abyss announced a major update for Black Desert, introducing a level cap of 75 and revamping the Combat Level and EXP system to make character progression more rewarding.

Previously, Black Desert had no level cap, while the EXP required to progress increased significantly at higher levels. With the revamp, leveling has been reworked to provide greater benefits and milestones, giving Adventurers a stronger sense of accomplishment as they progress. The in-game display of Character Level and Combat EXP has also been improved to make progression easier to understand.

The update also introduces the Common Skill “Godslayer: Force Palm”. The new skill offers Adventurers another option to incorporate into their combat styles and explore new approaches to Black Desert’s combat.

Alongside the update, a special Mythical Horse event will run for four weeks. Adventurers can complete one challenge each week simply by logging in. Completing all four challenges will reward them with a Mythical Horse Selection Box, allowing them to choose one of three Mythical Horses.

Black Desert’s Halloween event will also return from October 8 to November 5, reopening the mysterious Marni’s Playground. Adventurers can investigate a demonic presence spreading throughout the playground, participate in seasonal minigames and weekly quests, and battle special demons and monsters.

The Halloween event also introduces [Event] Seal of Purification, which can be earned through a variety of activities including defeating monsters, Gathering, Fishing, and daily challenges. The currency can be exchanged for a range of rewards, including enhancement materials, premium outfit items, Halloween-themed outfits, pets, and limited-time furniture.
