Rose Belmont, Daughter of Trevor Belmont, Battles Through Dracula’s Castle in KONAMI’s New Exploration-based 2D Action Adventure Set in 1499 Paris
WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM – June 8, 2026 – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) today announced Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch on October 15, 2026. Pre-orders for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, XBOX on PC and Steam® begin today alongside the reveal of the game’s early purchase bonuses, pre-order bonuses, and contents of the Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Midnight Edition.
A brand-new trailer debuted during the Xbox Games Showcase, featuring new gameplay, a first look at additional environments and bosses, and the original artwork created by acclaimed manga artist and illustrator Katsuya Terada. The trailer reveals Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, as she battles her way beneath the catacombs of Paris and the dark halls of Dracula’s castle, showing the game’s exploration-driven combat, gothic atmosphere and signature game mechanics.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is an exploration-based 2D action game developed jointly by KONAMI, Evil Empire, with advisory help from indie studio Motion Twin. The story unfolds in Paris, France, in 1499—23 years after the events of the popular series entry Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Rose Belmont, daughter of the Dracula-slaying hero Trevor Belmont, sets out to defeat monsters whilst exploring the streets of Paris and Dracula’s castle, utilizing a variety of weapons and skills, including the sacred whip ‘Vampire Killer’.
The digital or physical Midnight Editions of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse include alternate costumes for Rose Belmont, a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, and an in-game relic item.
Pre-ordering or early purchase of any of the game edition will also award an extra Alucard-style costume for Rose Belmont.
Pre-ordering or early purchasing the Physical Midnight Edition with select EMEA retailers (to be announced) will also include an exclusive Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse SteelBook® as a pre-order/early purchase physical item incentive. Also available with select EMEA retailers: a premium tarot card of Rose Belmont featuring exclusive art by illustrator and manga artist Katsuya Terada. About Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
Over two decades after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and the recent animated show, it is in the streets of 15th century Paris that a new chapter of the legendary House Belmont is about to be written in bloody red ink. Armed with a legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, Trevor Belmont’s successor – and the game’s protagonist – must descend into the city attacked by monstrous creatures and a looming mystical castle to hunt down the beasts and save the Parisians from eternal darkness.
