SKÖVDE, Sweden, 13th October 2026 - Today, Coffee Stain Publishing, MOOD Publishing, and Coffee Stain Studios have announced that the crowdfunding campaign for Satisfactory: The Board Game is now live. Players can pledge to the crowdfunding campaign for the 1-4 player factory-building experience, carefully curated and translated from its award-winning video game counterpart into board game format.
In Satisfactory: The Board Game, pioneers are invited back to MASSAGE-2(A-B)b to complete their mission of being crowned the FICSIT Employee of the Month by earning the most Victory Points and ascending the Space Elevator. The upcoming board game comes complete with unique biomes, milestones to fulfil, abilities and tools to upgrade, all with one goal in mind: efficiency.
In their race across the board and up the Space Elevator, players must compete for the role of the most efficient factory-designer. See below for an overview of how this reimagined version of the conveyor-belt-filled title will unfold:
- Resource-seeking and extracting: Upon Pioneers’ initial landing in the tabletop MASSAGE-2(A-B)b, they’ll have to locate the necessary resources to launch their factory-building careers. These include resources from in-game such as iron, limestone and copper.
- Special opportunity spaces: As players explore, the world reveals resource nodes for the taking alongside special ‘?’ opportunities on the board to give factories a boost over their competition. These special opportunity cards include a range of surprises for dedicated Pioneers, such as uncovering an immediately available pile of resources.
- Factory power management: With their recovered resources, Pioneers will need a factory to process them. The solution? Miners. Just like their video game counterparts, these machines must be powered. Power is a consumable and finite resource that players must allocate effectively for their factory to run smoothly. If a Biomass Burner and its power output deplete, some difficult decisions must be made on how to keep the factory running.
- Peak efficiency: Once all players have completed their first two actions, it is time to enter the production stage and get to work maximising factory output. The more players refine, the more they can produce, and the more they can progress with advanced technologies for the best upgrades.
- Milestones and objectives to meet: While efficiency is important, milestones and objectives are just as necessary to play the game. Pioneers must fulfil their objectives and reach milestones to progress through the board and earn the necessary Victory Points to win against their colleagues.
- Constructing the Space Elevator: To finish the game, all players must contribute to the construction of the Space Elevator. Once finalised, players can compare their scores, and the Pioneer with the highest score is the winner, but more importantly, the FICSIT Employee of the Month.
- Co-op: For the more cooperative amongst us, players can work together to navigate the alien planet FICSIT deemed worthy. Share your factory output, exchange resources, and use blueprints that can benefit other pioneers.
As part of Satisfactory’s iconic look, the Space Elevator remains an iconic construction, functioning as the route to winning and as a tracker for player progress throughout the gameplay loop.
Additionally, for the dedicated Pioneers who followed the campaign on Gamefound before today, they will be receiving a limited-edition metal FICSIT Cup 1st Player Marker, which will be delivered alongside their copy of the game on launch.
The launch date for Satisfactory: The Board Game is yet to be announced, but in the meantime, fans can follow the campaign on Gamefound to pledge to the campaign and keep up to date with the latest development updates and milestones. Fully localised languages and language packs will be available during the campaign. Read more over on the Gamefound campaign.
