COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, 24th April 2026 – Today, Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games have shared more on a major free update coming to their survivor-like bullet auto-shooter Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, launching alongside the Heavy Duty expansion on April 30th. Headlined by the arrival of the highly anticipated Endless Mode, the update also introduces new progression milestones, expanded build systems, and a range of performance improvements designed to push miners further than ever before.

It’s Not a Sprint, It’s a Miner-thon
Endless Mode throws miners into faster, more intense dives from the very start, designed to drop players straight into the action. Early stages ramp up quickly with denser swarms and less down time, where survival becomes a true test of endurance. As an Endless run goes on, it becomes a balancing act between risk, reward, and just how far players are able to push their build.

Endless Mode isn’t for the faint hearted. It’s a pinnacle challenge that will test players’ endurance, patience and risk management. While initial stages might seem slightly faster but manageable, dwarves of all beard colours beware - things will get dicey the deeper you go.

New Milestones, Tags and Upgrade Paths
To reward greybeards willing to take on the toughest hazards, the update also introduces Mastery Milestones, offering new progression rewards for players who prove their skill under pressure. Alongside this, an expanded tag system adds new ways to shape builds, with additional weapon tags and upgrade paths that allow for more specialised and experimental playstyles. With systems now able to support increasingly powerful builds, including expanded health and damage scaling, players are encouraged to push the limits of what’s possible.

Optimisation & Performance Improvements
Under the hood, the update brings a wide range of optimisations and technical improvements, enhancing performance across longer runs and larger enemy counts. With Endless Mode pushing the limits of what’s possible, the team is eager to see just how far players can go – and how they might find new ways to ‘break’ the game along the way.

With both the Heavy Duty expansion and the free update arriving on April 30th, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor continues to expand its action-packed take on the dwarven mining fantasy.
