FLASK Sets January 14th Release Date as Major Demo Update Launches Today

New ways to customise flasks, competitive leaderboards and more intense runs give players even more opportunities to experiment, optimise and crack the dark fantasy auto-battler.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, 29th September 2026 – Today, Ghost Ship Publishing and Chop Chop Games announced that FLASK will launch in full on January 14th, 2027 for PC and Mac. Revealed during Coffee Stain’s Big Break Showcase, the release date was accompanied by a new trailer and the reveal of a major overhaul to the game's playable demo, available on Steam now.

For those yet to enter the Bloodharvest, FLASK is a dark fantasy deck-building auto-battler about getting rich, getting ruthless, and getting very, very good at killing goblins. Players step into the shoes of an indebted alchemist, building a team of homunculi and brewing hundreds of powerful concoctions to harvest goblin blood – the new world's most valuable currency – to finally pay off the mortgage on their tower.

Following the launch of FLASK's first public demo in July, Chop Chop Games has continued to refine the experience with an even greater focus on its core strategic gameplay and buildcrafting. Runs are now shorter and more intense, getting players into the action faster and giving them more opportunities to experiment with different strategies.

A major new addition, Infusers, takes that experimentation even further by allowing players to change the effects of their flasks. Rather than simply choosing which concoctions to take into battle, players can now alter how they work, opening up even more possibilities for unexpected combinations and game-breaking builds.

Competition is getting an upgrade too. A revamped ranked mode gives players more milestones to chase as they climb towards the top, while new global leaderboards and Steam Friends integration mean players can compare their performance directly with friends – and put their supposedly unbeatable builds to the test.

The update also fully introduces Jennilee the Ranger, FLASK's fifth playable homunculus: a foul-mouthed outlaw and glass-cannon gunslinger who definitely isn’t interested in playing it safe. Armed with a musket, the Ranger can amplify her bullets with poison, fire, and damage. When things get rough, her survival instincts kick in, allowing her to slowly regain health and support allies.

“FLASK is at its best when you start pushing its systems and asking, ‘What happens if I combine this with that?’” said Dario Rahimic, Co-Founder at Chop Chop Games. “We want players to be able to jump in and start building straight away, but beneath that there's a huge amount of depth for those who really want to master it. With Infusers opening up even more combinations, shorter and more intense runs, and new ways to compete, there are now more opportunities than ever to put that knowledge to the test. We know players are going to find ways to break things that we haven't even thought of yet – so consider that a challenge. We can't wait to see what you come up with before January.”

With more than 500 flasks to discover, five homunculi to master, and countless ways to combine them, FLASK is built around experimentation: find a combination that works, push it as far as it can go, and try to build something better than anyone else.

FLASK launches in full on January 14th, 2027 for PC and Mac, with the demo available now on Steam. Players can wishlist the game and join the official Discord to provide feedback directly to the development team. All assets can be found here.
