STOCKHOLM, Sweden. 1st April 2024 — Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North are excited to celebrate Goat Simulator’s 10th anniversary with a new update that sees the return of classic NPC as playable skins!

The Anniversary Update arrives just in time for Pilgor’s birthday party, to which (almost) no-one turned up to. Characters from across the gaming space were invited, including the Dwarves from Deep Rock Galactic, the Settlers from CATAN, the Squirrel from Squirrel with a Gun, Dr. Jennifer Dogna from Super Animal Royale, Caesar from Wargroove, and more! Alas, our precious Pilgor is a bit of a problem child (on account of all the headbutting, we suspect) and seems to have scared away all her potential guests.

When all seemed lost, a mysterious crack in spacetime appeared, the classic NPCs from the original Goat Simulator game materialised, and cele-baa-rations commenced. Talk about perfect timing!

As part of the anniversary celebrations, players are able to find the mysterious spacetime crack in-game in Suburbsville, and unlock a new “Goat” in the form of the Goat Simulator’s classic NPCs! Back in 2014, these NPCs were actually made to resemble the original developers, so you may notice some familiar faces amongst the 20 appearance options! In addition to a nostalgic throwback, players can also enjoy the delicious new 10 Year Birthday Cake headgear, Party Hats, as well as an updated main menu decorated for the occasion.

When asked about her ultimately successful birthday party, Pilgor the Goat had this to say: “Baaaa, baaaaa, baa baa baaaaaaaaa!”*

Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, said: “The trouble with having an anniversary on April 1st is that no-one knows what’s real anymore. Am I real? Are YOU real? What IS real is that 10 years have passed since the launch of Goat Simulator, and we couldn’t be happier with how far we’ve come. Thank you to everyone for your neverending support, and we’ll see you in another 10 years when we announce Goat Simulator 7!”

More updates are on the way as the team celebrates 10 years of Goat Simulator, so stay tuned across Twitter/X, Discord, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and the official Goat Simulator 3 website for more information.

About Goat Simulator

Goat Simulator 3 is a direct sequel to Goat Simulator, a silly game that started life as an April Fool’s joke born out of a game jam. In 2014, Goat Simulator became a true goat simulation sensation, selling millions of units across consoles and PC, as well as ‘earning’ ports to Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and most recently Apple Arcade.

Goat Simulator 3 builds on everything fans of the first game loved, raising the baa to brand new heights (sometimes literally). Goat Simulator 3 originally launched on the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on 17th November 2022, before arriving on Steam in February 2024
