Press release —
HOP ON YOUR MOTORBROOM AND EXPLORE THE MAGICAL ISLE OF MOR IN CRESCENT COUNTY, COMING TO PC AND CONSOLES IN SUMMER 2027
Drift and drive, flirt with your friends, and discover what it means to find home
Southampton, UK – August 12th, 2026 - Kinetic Publishing and Electric Saint have today announced that Crescent County, a highly anticipated cosy-with-bite slice-of-life game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2027.
Revealed as part of Kinetic Publishing’s first wave of titles at the Kinetic Publishing Showcase, in Crescent County players explore the almost-universal experience of moving to a new place as a young adult. Playing as chaotic young adult, Lu, you take to your motorbroom to courier parcels by day and play street racer by night. From getting involved in local gossip and drama, to herding sheep and fixing leylines, this heartfelt game is about kissing, drifting, and being a mess in your 20s.
Inspired by Anna Hollinrake’s first big studio job where she moved to the Isle of Wight, Crescent County is set on the crescent-shaped, magical Isle of Mor. The game successfully raised £94,458 via a Kickstarter campaign in 2025 and features illustrations and artwork from creative director, Anna Hollinrake, who takes inspiration from sunset-soaked, dreamy coming-of-age games like Night in the Woods and Life is Strange. Also influenced by roller derby subculture and cozy-but-not stylized games like Sable, Dredge or Olli Olli World, Crescent County aims to offer the experience of Kiki’s Delivery Service meets the bikes of Akira set on a rural, witch-tech island.
“Crescent County is centred around the idea of what it means to find your home. We want players to enjoy every element of this - from taking part in blood-pumping racing to getting involved in messy local gossip and dating their friends. The motorbroom driving isn’t about time trials or leaderboards - it’s about hanging out with your friends, and above all, it should be fun!”
“Crescent County has been a passion project since 2017, grounded in magical realism and my own lived experience. It’s so exciting to now be working with the team at Kinetic Publishing to help bring it to life, and we can’t wait for players to lose themselves in the wonderful world of Mor!”
Crescent County features:
- Motorbroom driving: Enjoy crunchy, flow-state driving - deliver parcels to earn an income or race your island friends
- Relationship building: Form deep relationships with the close-knit characters you meet, and get to know their joys, struggles, and endless drama
- Open world: The Isle of Mor offers a painterly witch-tech open world to get lost in
- Customisation: Upgrade your motorbroom (for handling, deliveries, AND aesthetics)
Crescent County will launch on PC via Steam and The Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2027.
