MEDIEVAL-JURASSIC RTS TITLE ‘DINOLORDS’ ANNOUNCES MULTIPLAYER MODE AND FREE DEMO

The up-and-coming ‘Hack’N’Strat’ from Ghost Ship Publishing and Northplay launches its demo on 19th October, allowing for up to eight Lords to compete for dominance or rule together

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, 29th September, 2026 – Today, Ghost Ship Publishing and Northplay announced that the world’s first ‘Hack’N’Strat’ title, Dinolords, will receive a multiplayer mode - first playable in a free Steam demo from 19th October! Up to eight players can build their stronghold, fight opposing battalions, and recruit the help of dinosaurs; either together or head-to-head.

Mixing real-time strategy with action RPG gameplay, Dinolords brings the Jurassic era to the Middle Ages in a time warp of genres, where the discovery of ancient eggs has led to training dinosaurs for battle. With the looming threat of war, players must tame these creatures and prepare them for real-time combat, leading them into conflict alongside an ever-growing army.

Through a combination of strategy and RPG-style combat, each Lord has a humble beginning, but the choices made afterwards are what count. Whether leading armies on the front lines, supporting the economy, or focusing on powerful abilities and battlefield impact, rulers can choose their own path to greatness, as a team or as the apex predator.

“Having a multiplayer mode is something I’ve envisioned for Dinolords since the beginning,” says Michael Flarup, CEO of Northplay. “Now we have that strong foundation of gameplay, we can finally bring multiple people into the experience, making an RTS/RPG genre blend that has never been seen before. We can’t wait for people to jump in and build their very own domain, of course with the help of their faithful dino companions.”

The news was shared at Coffee Stain’s Big Break showcase, highlighting major announcements for existing titles such as Deep Rock Galactic, Goat Simulator, and Satisfactory, and shining the spotlight on up-and-coming indie games.

The Dinolords Multiplayer Demo will launch on Steam on 19th October 2026. Playtest signups are now open through the same page, enabling a limited selection of players to try their hand at dino-wrangling before launch. You can also find out more about the game on Northplay’s website.
