Phasmophobia is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Revealed at The Game Awards, Nintendo Switch 2 players will be able to join the hunt in 2026
SOUTHAMPTON, UK – December 12th, 2025 – Today, Kinetic Games are excited to announce that Phasmophobia is on its way to Nintendo Switch 2! Unveiled tonight at The Game Awards, the genre-defining horror game will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

First launched into Early Access in 2020, Phasmophobia is a co-op horror game in which players are challenged to investigate hauntings in a variety of eerie locations. On Nintendo Switch 2, groups of up to four ghost hunters are able to join together online to begin their paranormal explorations through the game’s 14 maps - including the newest addition for this year, Nell’s Diner.
The Nintendo Switch 2 launch will follow Phasmophobia’s successful PlayStation and Xbox console launch in summer last year, which has now seen the five-year-old game reach over 25 million global sales. The game is currently in Early Access, with plans to launch into 1.0 in 2026.

The Nintendo Switch 2 announcement marks the end of a huge year of news and new content for Phasmophobia - from map reworks and the brand new map Nell’s Diner, to the Blumhouse film adaptation and a plethora of seasonal content updates. Winter’s Jest, the game’s next event, kicks off on December 16th.
Phasmophobia will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The game is available right now in Early Access on PC via Steam, PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox Series X|S.
