LONDON - September 8th, 2026 - PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is excited to reveal its Version 4.6 Update, packed with supernatural action, new gameplay experiences and fresh content across multiple modes. Available from September 8 until November 10, 2026, players can sink their teeth into the new Midnight Hunters themed mode, dive into the returning Ocean Odyssey themed mode on Erangel, and get into the Halloweeks spirit in World of Wonder. The action continues with collaborations including B.Duck, Lincoln, One-Punch Man and Alan Walker, plus updates across Classic Mode, Home Mode, Metro Royale and more.
Hunt or Be Hunted in Midnight Hunters
The Version 4.6 Update introduces Midnight Hunters, a new themed mode pitting hunters against vampires in a head-on clash of factions. Familiar districts have been transformed into eerie combat zones, steeped in the tension of the hunt. Players can venture into Vampire Hunter Guild locations across the map, taking on combat encounters and uncovering the secrets of the elusive AI character, the Nightkeeper. At the Hunter Shooting Range, players can put their skills to the test, with greater rewards available for higher scores.
A fearsome lineup of PvE enemies adds another layer of danger, from melee-attacking Bloodwalkers and the sonic-blasting Nightbat to the powerful Vampire Elder, which summons arcane orbs to strengthen nearby enemies. Elite enemies bring an even greater challenge with protective shields and special finisher animations, delivering flashy takedowns as players battle their way through the mode. The mysterious Nightkeeper may also appear at Guild locations, offering players the chance to uncover his story, obtain supplies and challenge him for rewards.
Players also have new ways to fight vampires, move around the map and support their squad. The Twilight Bat Wings transform players into an energy bat, unlocking hover, dash, latch and sonar abilities, while the Silvermoon Chain can be used to attack enemies, traverse the map or block incoming damage. The Blood Crystal Barrier can seal windows to block incoming attacks and fend off ambushes, while the Blood Pact, Hunter Bandage and Scarlet Tonic offer additional ways to heal and support teammates throughout the mode.
Throughout Midnight Hunters, players can uncover hidden compartments, challenges and missions across the map. The Golden Bat challenge tasks players with finding the Golden Bat disguised as a stone statue and defeating it before it escapes to earn a bounty and rewards. Scream Crates bring puzzle-based challenges, with failure triggering an alarm and exposing the player’s location. Players can also take on a series of Guild Missions, from defending the Nightkeeper's seals against vampire ambushes to hunting evolving enemies and eliminating vampires.
For a limited time, Bloodline Awakening gives eliminated players the chance to return as vampires and turn against the hunters, flipping sides and fighting back with a new set of abilities. Once transformed, players gain a vampiric appearance and four powerful abilities: Claw Attack for melee combat, Absorb to restore health, Blood Sense to detect and mark nearby hunters, and Blood Amberfication, which briefly transforms players into a high-speed state immune to damage. Following the season update, Bloodline Awakening is available every Friday through Sunday in September.
Something Is Stirring on Erangel
Version 4.6 Update will also see the return of Ocean Odyssey, inviting players to dive back into the themed mode exclusively on Erangel from September 30. Players should also keep an eye out across Erangel for signs of a mysterious giant serpent breaking through the ground, with weakened sections of its stone shell hiding scales and supply rewards for those who manage to break through and catch a glimpse of what’s still to come.
Luxury Rides, One Punches and a Little Yellow Duck
The action continues with a line-up of collaborations throughout Version 4.6. Players can hit the road in style with Lincoln from September 10, before One-Punch Man packs a punch from September 20 with collaboration events and themed Home content. B.Duck joins the fun from October 2, bringing its playful style to themed items and Home furniture.
Players can also turn up the volume with PUBG MOBILE fan-favourite Alan Walker, with his track, and the versions theme song, “FATE”. With a dark, epic sound that matches the atmosphere of the Version 4.6 update, “FATE” is available in-game for free until November 10.,
Turn Up the Action in Classic Mode and Arena Mode
Classic Mode gets a fresh wave of gameplay additions and combat improvements in Version 4.6. Across Erangel, new in-match specific missions challenge players to recover leftover combat supplies or hack Supply Shops for Shop Tokens, while the Supply Shop has been upgraded with a refreshed layout, easier filtering and an expanded item selection. Firearm updates also bring greater firing stability to the ACE32 and a range of 7.62mm rifles, including the AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47 and Groza.
There’s even more to discover, with new Channel Buoys offering temporary safety in the waters around Military Base, floating supply crates to loot and interactive lockers hidden inside buildings. Players can also deploy the new Inflatable Boat, a portable four-seater vehicle that moves faster the more passengers row, while Custom Garage updates include the chance for a Tracked Amphicarrier to spawn, which can be activated in exchange for Shop Tokens. When parachuting, players can now drag the joystick upwards to lock into an auto-glide state.
Arena Mode joins the action with a new Ranked Arena season running from October 1 to October 29, putting players to the test across Team Deathmatch - Warehouse (Ranked), Team Deathmatch - Hangar (Ranked), Assault - The Ruins (Ranked) and Domination - Town (Ranked). Players can access tiered rewards throughout the season, including a limited Title for the top 1,000 players in each region when the season wraps up on October 29.
Halloweeks Haunts World of Wonder
World of Wonder (WOW) gets a spooky makeover in Version 4.6, as Brainrot gameplay Halloweeks introduces new collectible Brainrot characters, Halloweeks-inspired scenery and a new event currency. Players can also discover themed items, including the returning Magic Broom and the new Brainrot Wand, which transforms players into a Halloweeks-themed Brainrot character.
A limited-time Ghost Ship event adds to the mayhem, allowing players to fly aboard and visit the Halloweeks Shop, which refreshes on a schedule and offers new progression goals. The Ghost Ship also fires ghost cannonballs that evolve Brainrot mutants on the conveyor belt, giving players new Brainrot variants to collect.
Creators also have more ways to build and experiment in WOW, with a limited-time Creation Shop incentive increasing WOW Token revenue share from 55% to up to 83% through tiered rates. New gameplay tools, including a Jetpack Device, join further improvements across the mobile and PC editors, giving creators greater flexibility to bring their ideas to life.
There’s No Place Like Home Mode
Alongside the new Cyber Nexus Home Style, Home Mode welcomes back the Home Competition, inviting players to unleash their creativity, compete for votes and earn rewards. A themed Style Voting event also gives eligible players the chance to enter a cash prize draw by completing voting missions.
From September 13, Feast of Shadows brings a spooky twist to Home Mode, challenging players to hunt down specters as seekers to earn search points or switch sides to join the specters, hiding and scaring hunters to earn fright points. Players can build up their points throughout the event and exchange them for rewards.
The Action Doesn’t Stop There
Season 32 arrives on September 12 with refreshed tier rewards, new Path of Glory rewards and an upgraded Promotion Match experience, alongside the return of Ultimate Royale and a new Casual Match season spanning Unranked Classic, Arena, WOW, Home and Arcade. Crazy Chicken Day also gives players more reasons to squad up, with Ranked team-up perks, double earnings and weekly prize draws.
Metro Royale Chapter 34 arrives with new season collectibles and a vampiric twist, as mutated vampire bases appear across Arctic Base guarding high-value Scream Crates. Golden Bat Statues will also appear at specific locations, challenging players to defeat the Golden Bat within the time limit for a chance to obtain high-value items. A new Royale Pass, RP A21, also brings a custom colour outfit and upgradable weapon, alongside new sets and rewards to unlock throughout Version 4.6.
A host of system updates round out Version 4.6, including new Card Collection features and progress towards an upgradable JS9 firearm finish, multilingual Personalized Voices and the return of the Popularity Battle Event. Flash Crew also receives new team-up tools, Crew Descriptors and improved filtering, making it easier for players to find and connect with the right teammates.
