15 January 2026 - Today, Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games have revealed the full details of Deep Rock Galactic’s latest seasonal content update, Season 06: Relics of Hoxxes. Bringing a (literal) new layer to Hoxxes IV, Season 06 introduces the tomb-like Ossuary Depths biome packed with a new species of menacing enemies and full of valuable, untapped resources. This means miners can look forward to new work with the addition of a dedicated season event, and a brand new mission type. In lieu of financial compensation, dwarves can look forward to the return of another totally-free seasonal Performance Pass, packed with plenty of perks including paintjobs for weapons and armour, new weapon frameworks, and plenty more.

A bone to pick(axe) in the Ossuary Depths

Following updated research and risk evaluation, management will be deploying employees to a new worksite deep within Hoxxes IV. The vast caverns of the Ossuary Depths are filled with stalagmites, ominous skeletal remains, and–most importantly–rich deposits of valuable Resinite. To ensure endeavours in this new ecosystem yield results, a new mission type “Heavy Extraction” is being implemented, where miners will be tasked with gently unearthing delicate masses of amber, depositing them carefully into a Lift Pod supported by rockets.

Tales from the Crypt Creatures

A new biome means new inhabitants, and the Ossuary Depths are no different. On missions in this new ecosystem, miners will likely encounter one of three new enemies from the Ossiran family. The first of these is the Ossian Scrab, a small but tough creature, finding strength in numbers to protect their territory fiercely. While their size might not seem intimidating, their hard outer shells make it a challenge to keep the horde at bay. Also occupying the depths is The Ossiran Pit Jaw, burrowing underground and lying in wait for the next reckless dwarf to slip into its deadly grip, like a living bear trap.

The last of this new species is the Ossiran Bone Collectors. Luckily for miners, they’re timid in nature and run straight back to their lairs. Also lucky for miners, they collect and hoard bone mass, converting it into crystalline Ossium. Those sent to complete the season event “Ossiran Raid” will need to follow these critters, raid their supply and deposit as much of it as possible into the M.U.L.E. before vacating the premises.

The return of the Performance Pass

Despite the (allegedly) deplorable working conditions, Management is offering a surprisingly generous benefits package. Season 06: Relics of Hoxxes comes with another free Season Performance Pass, packed with enough rewards to hopefully prevent unsanctioned grave robbing. This includes a new Diesel Driven weapons framework, a pickaxe set, paintjobs for armour and weapons, and plenty other rewards. Groovy new dance moves have also made their way to Hoxxes IV, for those who want to show off at the Abyss Bar or after a successful mission. Season 06: Relics of Hoxxes also welcomes a brand new DLC pack, Relic Raiders, bringing old-time style to contemporary mining activity.

Deep Rock Galactic Season 06: Relics of Hoxxes is now live on Experimental, and launches on Steam 29 January 2026, before coming to console on 12 February 2026. Assets can be found here.

Deep Rock Galactic is available now on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
