Songs of Conquest Yulan Faction DLC Arrives on PC Today
The long-awaited Yulan expansion introduces a brand new in-game faction, along with a ruined forest biome, narrative campaign, and more.
Gothenburg, Sweden – June 4th 2026 – Swedish developer Lavapotion has today launched the highly-anticipated new Yulan Faction DLC for Songs of Conquest. Revealed earlier this year, Yulan is the third full faction release for the game, introducing players to a rich new land of beauty and conflict through a new narrative campaign, biome, conquest maps, and of course troops.

A Fragmented Land
Yulan is ruled by three great houses – Li, Sheng, and Xuan – whose rivalry is overshadowed by the awakening of an ancient enemy. As part of the DLC, players can pledge allegiance to one or more of the three houses, and take advantage of a novel progression system with branching upgrade paths to develop their army as they see fit and defend the lands of Yulan against the greater evil.
Mystical New Forces
Eight new troop units arrive as part of the expansion, including dragon-like Tians, mighty Grenadiers, and Seekers that transform into powerful Essence forms when upgraded. With multiple progression paths available depending on House allegiance, players are encouraged to experiment and discover the most powerful combinations for themselves. Yulan is built around army-building freedom and replayability, with hidden potential waiting to be discovered across every House.
A Story of Reconnection
At the heart of the Yulan DLC is a brand new narrative campaign telling the story of reunion and survival through a divided homeland. Spanning three maps, the Tale explores what happens when isolation ends following decades of rivalry, and whether once-divided Houses can come together to survive the ancient emerging threats.
New Battlefields and a Lush Biome
The Yulan DLC also features five new Conquest maps, each designed to showcase new mechanics, troops, and terrain. From internal power struggles to fights against external threats, each map approaches the story of Yulan from a different angle, too, offering a glimpse into the faction’s lore alongside a unique challenge.
The brand new biome also accompanies the maps, introducing a varied landscape with visually distinct forests, plains and mountains, filled with lurking dangers…
The Yulan DLC is available to purchase now on Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store. You can find the official press kit assets here, and more information on the official Songs of Conquest website and by following the game on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
