LONDON, September 21st, 2026 - In less than a week, the 2026 Asian Games Esports Finals: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version will get underway as 12 of the region's best teams arrive at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan for the 20th Asian Games Esports Events. From September 28th–29th, PUBG MOBILE Esports’ fiercest competitors will battle it out for two of the most coveted prizes in sport: an Asian Games medal.

The road to the Games began in June, when 23 hopeful teams touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version. Following an intense three-day competition, Team Pakistan topped the table to lead eight qualified teams to Japan. They will now join the three reigning medalists from Hangzhou 2022: China, Republic of Korea, and Chinese Taipei, while hosts Team Japan complete the field as the 12th and final entrant.

Heading into the Final, these 12 teams will compete across two competition days, with six matches each day. The first four matches will be held on Erangel whilst Miramar will be the location for the remaining two matches on both days. Rankings are to be determined by the combination of placement and elimination points accumulated across both days.

The tournament represents the second time it will feature as an official medal event at the Asian Games following its debut at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, a return which underlines PUBG MOBILE Esports’ status as one of the region's most-played, most-watched competitive titles.
