Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Reveals Magnificent Monsters, Featuring Iconic Monsters and Grand Master Rares!

Celebrate some of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s most Magnificent Monsters with a stunning new rarity

WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM – September 4, 2026 – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) launches Magnificent Monsters for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). Celebrating the legacy of the first six Yu-Gi-Oh! Series' heroes, this set features 18 of their iconic cards reimagined with new abilities and introduces a major new rarity, Grand Master Rares.

Duelists can look forward to exciting versions of inspired cards from Yugi, Jaden and other heroes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series such as Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant, Kuriboh – Multiply!, Dark Magical Curtain and Stardust Dragon – Victim Sanctuary, Favorite HERO Flame Wingman, Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10.

As well as standard fully playable Ultra Rare copies of these 18 cards, Magnificent Monsters also includes extended art versions available as Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare with the latter receiving the new rainbow card borders.

Also being introduced in this set are Grand Master Rares, a brand-new rarity with hieroglyphic borders. Only the 18 ‘reimagined’ receive Grand Master Rare versions and are serial-numbered from 001 through 100 making them significantly rare. There will be 100 per card for the Americas (North/Central/South, combined), and another 100 per card for all markets distributed from Europe (Europe, Oceania, Africa, Middle East). The latter will have an “E” at the end of the serial number. All Grand Master Rares will be in English but can be found in French / German / Italian / Portuguese / Spanish packs, as well as English packs.

On top of this, Magnificent Monsters also features 20 new or variant art cards seen from the anime like Orichalcos Sword of Sealing and Rainbow Bridge Bifrost and adds 10 ‘chibi’-style variant art versions of cards from A Bao A Qu, the Lightless Shadow and Divine Arsenal AA–ZEUS - Sky Thunder to Dark Ruler No More and Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage!.

Six brand new ‘boss’ monsters are also making their debut, one for each Special Summoning type. Each of these is a new version of a popular existing monster from that Summon type, from the Nightmare-Eyes Restrict Fusion Monster to Galaxy-Eyes Antimatter Dragon for Xyz Monsters and Crystron Halqifibrax Prism for Link Monsters.

Rounding out Magnificent Monsters are 40 cards receiving foil upgrades for the first time, including recent favourites and some goodies from the past. Along with that, Duelists get another chance at sought-after cards as the 40 reprinted cards are split into two pools.

Due to all the magnificence in this set, special steps have been taken to ensure Duelists can acquire groundbreaking cards without missing out. A “slots” system is being used where certain cards have been carefully assigned to each position in the pack. Each box of Magnificent Monsters has 3 packs, with 5 Ultra Rare cards per pack and 3 extra cards as Secret Rare with a chance to upgrade to Starlight Rare.
