Synergy SKY welcomes Google to the game

Unless you haven't heard, Google had some great news last week, launching a professional version of Google Hangouts. Many companies are trying out different solutions to allow them to implement video as an integrated part of their communication and collaboration. Today we see solutions ranging from high-definition purpose-built room solutions down to sometimes rather shaky but free alternatives designed for more personal use.

Now Google has launched "Chromebox for Meetings," a compact video conferencing room solution based on a mini-PC running Chrome OS, a Logitech HD camera and a sound system. Combined with a platform service offered at a symbolic rate, they aim straight at the higher-end segment of the market with a low cost solution. At Synergy SKY, we're happy to see every attempt to help usher companies into the wonderful world of enterprise-grade unified communications.
