The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency and Telenor Norway enter partnership to develop new 5G services
In the next few years, the Norwegian Defence Material Agency and Telenor Norway will collaborate to develop new services within the next generation of mobile networks. In the first instance, a private autonomous 5G network will be established for the Armed Forces. A private 5G network ensures lightning-fast data flow and high robustness.
Telenor, Aker and Cognite establish software security company

Norwegians hit by a wave of fraud: 200.000 calls from North Korea
On Wednesday last week, Norwegians were hit by a wave of fraud calls. Throughout the night, more than 200,000 fraudulent calls from North Korean phone numbers were made. In partnership with Hiya, Telenor Norway is now launching a new solution that will offer customers increased protection from fraud and nuisance calls.
Telenor will appeal the decision from the EFTA Surveillance Authority
The EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) has investigated different aspects of Telenor's Norwegian mobile business in the period between 2008 to 2012 only. Today, Telenor received a decision which closes ESA's proceedings. This decision relates to Telenor's prices in the segment for mobile broadband to residential customers.

Telenor today opens 5G in nine locations in Norway, starting with Trondheim as the first major city in the country equipped with the mobile network of the future. This makes Telenor the first mobile operator in Norway to offer 5G to customers.
Organizational changes in Telenor Norway
