Press release —
Wiwo.de and Karriere.de now linking back to blogs using Twingly
German publishing group Handelsblatt from today adds theonline issues of Wirtschaftswoche and Handelsblatt Junge Karriere to the list of websites using Twingly to connect their content to relevant blog posts from the blogosphere. Thus they follow the example of Handelsblatt.com.
In the same way as on Handelsblatt.com, Twingly Blogstream connects blog posts and the articles to which the posts link, and that way displays both in direct context with each other.
- Following the complex overhaul of both portals wiwo.de and karriere.de during the last year, we are now happy about being able to offer our users an interesting additional service which completes optimally our current offer.", says Sebastian Stude, Director of karriere.de at ECONOMY.ONE GmbH.
wiwo.de and karriere.de follow the example of Handelsblatt.com, who run Blogstream already since end of January this year. Handelsblatt.com could increase the number of additional links from blogs during that time and therefore look forward to continue to use the service in future.
- We not only offer via Twingly Blogstream our users additional relevant content but also give bloggers the opportunity to show their posts in direct context with what they write about. Also, we can see that the number of links from blogs via Blogstream influences the development of our site in a positive way," says Arnd Winkelnkemper, Director of Handelsblatt.com. Like him, Sebastian Stude and Christian Martin (Director Wiwo.de) expect to see a very similar development of wiwo.de and karriere.de with Blogstream.
- It is great that after Handelsblatt.com also the portals wiwo.de and karriere.de will run with Blogstream. We are very excited about this and look forward to follow the development of both sites with Blogstream, " says Martin Källström, CEO of Twingly. "Together with Handelsblatt.com we were given the chance to show that the positive influence of Blogstream does not only apply to our other european partners but also to German language news media. Since Economy. One now as one business unit runs Blogstream, they have the possibility to set a standard in Germany regarding the way of how to connect with blogs and how to open up for comments from the blog world."
Since a couple of years Twingly Blogstream is run by newspapers and online-shops throughout entire Europe, most of them being located in Scandinavia.
- For Twingly the extended partnership with Economy. One means another important step not only into the German but also into the European market, says Martin Källström. Our goal is to give European bloggers and readers the possibility to find each other in the easiest possible way. Newspapers and online-shops running Twingly Blogstream is a very important part of our strategy to reach this goal. In Scandinavia this concept has been established sucessfully since over two years, not at last due to the collaboration with partners like Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Nyheter.
